Catholic Schools Week!

Dear Parents, Friends and Families,

Welcome to Catholic Schools Week. Thanks to those of you who attended Mass on Sunday to help us launch CSW - your children were simply beautiful. I really hope that you take the time to enjoy this week as we celebrate all that we are as a community and all that we do together, to ensure our children receive a high quality of education. This school, truly is a beautiful example of what Catholic Education should look and feel like! We are, in Bishop Vincent’s words:

“...not an education system for Catholics, but a Catholic Education for ALL!”

And we the teacher’s understand what a privilege it is, that we get to undertake this ‘calling’, to love like Jesus, in action, word, compassion, empathy, grace, and the list goes on. We certainly are blessed with our work and the support, inspiration, encouragement and collaboration of our colleagues and parents, walking this journey, side by side. Let’s celebrate together this week all that we stand for! Please read on to discover the different ways in which we will celebrate this week!

This week I also look forward to sitting with each of my colleagues in their Professional Learning Teams, to tune in to the amazing work that they are currently undertaking, to explore ways in which they can engage our students in their learning and continually strive to improve their learning outcomes with enthusiasm, determination and passion.

“...the power of learning is embedded in the work!”

Learning By Doing (DuFour, Eaker, Many & Mattos)

Let us celebrate and cherish the wonderful community in which we all play a vital role in creating an environment where our children are engaged, determined, enthused, committed and happy!

With sunshine,
