Dear Parents, Friends and Families,
I had the absolute pleasure last weekend, of celebrating over two days with some of our students, as they celebrated their First Eucharist. Our children looked beautiful and were so excited to be able to now participate fully in the Eucharist. What an exciting time for our church to witness these young people growing closer to Jesus through the Eucharist. My prayer for these beautiful children of ours, is to remember the message shared with us this weekend in the second reading:
“You must love your neighbour as yourself.” Rom 13:8-10
I’m sure you would all agree, that if we all followed the above commandment our world would be a very different place. But it is very important for us to not get disheartened by the current state of the world but to rise to the challenge and teach our children that it is up to each of us to play our part and share as much of our own sunshine as we can with whoever we meet! We will change the world one smile at a time!
I would also like to congratulate our Tech Girls are Super Heroes Teams. Both our Year 5 and Year 6 teams did themselves and our school very proud. It was announced on Saturday afternoon that the Year 5 girls were Regional winners of the competition for their ‘Outshine the Sun’ APP! What an amazing result for the girls, Mrs Crawford, Mr McKinnon and their mentor. But for me the most rewarding thing to come out of this competition was the dedication and hard work that all involved exhibited throughout the entire competition. These girls not only made us proud but most importantly themselves proud! Well done girls!
Let us always remember the ‘light’ we are and can be to others and appreciate the ‘light’ others are to us.
Thank you all again for everything you give to our community every day!
