Principal's Message

Our Lady of the Nativity Primary offers the benefits of a learning community that enriches student wellbeing through friendships and connecting with one another.

The fostering of dignity and positive can-do attitudes are acknowledged and encouraged by significant people in the lives of the students. Each child experiences God's love here. Their expressions of personal faith are relevant, and all students encounter belonging through both individual prayer and liturgical celebration.

Our school is characterised by its learning and teaching. The professional staff value parent partnership as a key part of their work, and actively communicate with parents about their children and their learning. Our teachers use information from student achievement to improve individual learning. Students participate in small groups during English and Mathematics, and receive personal guidance and challenge to achieve their best.

We commit to nurturing students through:

  • providing a high quality education that nurtures lifelong learning
  • knowing and responding to the uniqueness of each learner
  • supporting the emotional needs of each student
  • communicating effectively between home and school
  • developing a positive school climate
  • celebrating our lived faith with one another

The school's buildings are placed in a beautiful setting, overlooking the Blue Mountains World Heritage National Park. Our grounds have a generous grassed area, ideal for active play.

I believe Our Lady of the Nativity is a school where children happily belong and do great work together. It is a school that values extracurricular activities as opportunities for students to excel and make new connections beyond the school.

I warmly invite you, on behalf of our Parish Priest and all my colleagues at OLN, to make an appointment and witness for yourself, the quality education our school offers.
